Automated Pipetting System
A global mining company partnered with IP Tech to automate a manual, time-consuming fluid-dispensing process within its laboratory. Our engineers developed a custom pipetting system that combines a closed-loop servo motor with a Universal Robots collaborative robot to precisely draw and dispense fluid samples.
Designed to handle both high- and low-viscosity fluids, the system improves dispensing accuracy while increasing the customer’s lab productivity by an estimated 3×. This project demonstrates how robotics, motion control, and application-specific engineering can transform repetitive liquid-handling processes across a range of industries.
