Flow Amplifiers
Millibar continuously develops innovative solutions to solve robotic and material handling challenges. With the release of its Manual Tool Changers for Collaborative Robots, Millibar extends the versatility of an already versatile technology by making robot redeployment extremely fast and easy for any operator. As collaborative robots are employed further up the production line, they are being tasked with handling an expanding array of product shapes and surfaces. To meet these challenges, Millibar has developed off-the-shelf components for controlling vacuum, pneumatic and adaptive grippers that provide a turnkey solution for non-expert robot users. Millibar flow amplifiers create extremely high suction flows using a minimal amount of compressed air. Versatile design with micrometer-like adjustable performance settings, up to 40:1 amplification ratios. It is easy to install, with optional silencer.
• Versatile design with micrometer-like adjustable performance settings, up to 40:1 amplification ratios.
• Also for handling porous, dusty, or delicate objects.
• Perfect solution for handling odd shaped objects with and without a suction cup.
• Use the high exhaust flow as a blower for drying, cooling, opening a package.
When starting a new robot automation project, In-Position Technologies engineers begin by reviewing the essential requirements to determine the optimum accessories need for the robot to perform the job. They perform all necessary engineering assessments to make sure the robot and its accessories perform as required, within customer specifications, and without unnecessary cost. They will also recommend the appropriate controllers, vacuum source, power supply, and sensor that fit the application.
This includes:
• Payload, reach, speed, cycle time, and repeatability requirement
• Ensuring compatibility with the current system
• Specifying the appropriate feedback device (sensors, vision system, torque sensor)
• Verifying mounting compatibility, form factor checks, etc.
• Ensuring all necessary auxiliary equipment are also specified
When ordering Flow Amplifiers as a part of a full system, IP Tech engineers review the solution to ensure:
• All parts and fittings necessary for a complete working solution are included
• All components have been checked and verified to work together as a system
• The selected components will perform as required by the project specifications
