SMAC LXY Series Actuators
SMAC offers high-speed precision XY stages. SMAC virtues of a direct drive zero backlash system, which can be controlled with great accuracy and repeatability. SMAC LXY Series Actuators are equipped as standard with 5µm encoder with options down to 50nm encoder resolution for ultra precise positioning and scanning for industries such as bio-science, medical and photonics. They are also used for quality measurement in automotive, and other industrial automation applications. The capability of controlling the velocity, acceleration, positioning and force of each axis independently, gives you a flexible and accurate tool.
• Combines multiple functions into a single assembly by stacking various control functions together
• A cost-effective solution for automating multiple axes with a built-in controller option via CANopen, Ethernet/IP and EtherCAT
• Simplifies installation and reduces cabling of multi-actuators
• Allows easy, quick exchange of units – reducing down time
• Easy to customize to fit application requirements
When starting a new linear motion project, In-Position Technologies engineers start by reviewing the key requirements to determine the optimum positioner for the job. They perform all necessary engineering calculations to make sure the positioners perform as required, within customer specification, and without unnecessary cost. They will also recommend the appropriate controllers and drives that will best fit the application.
This includes:
• Motor torque, speed, and inertia matching
• Ensuring compatibility with the motor drive and available power
• Specifying the appropriate feedback device, encoder (incremental vs. absolute), resolver, etc…
• Verifying mounting compatibility, form factor checks, etc…
• Ensuring all necessary accessories are also specified
When ordering SMAC LXY Series Actuators as a part of a full system, IP Tech engineers review the solution to ensure:
• All parts and accessories necessary for a complete working solution are included
• All components have been checked and verified to work together as a system
• The selected components will perform as required by the project specifications
