AC20

AC20

The AC20 advanced compact drive is a highly featured yet economical solution for general-purpose motor control applications in the range of 1.5kW to 180kW. It provides open loop speed or torque control for AC induction or PMAC motors. Additionally, with an optional encoder feedback card, it offers closed loop vector control of AC induction motors. Moreover, the AC20 is packed with features normally only associated with system drives. These include two IO/feedback expansion option slots, Safe Torque Off, and an onboard Ethernet port that supports major industrial Ethernet protocols, including ProfiNet and Ethernet IP, as standard. Furthermore, additional user-installable communication option cards are also available.

Features/Benefits:

• Easy to configure with free Parker DSELite software tool
• Onboard Ethernet port for programming and communications
• Clear English language intuitive keypad for local setup and control
• No complex options/configurators – all features available in the base inverter
• Wiring bracket simplifies installation

Safety and Reliability:

• Conformally coated for harsh environment protection as standard
• Proven power stage design and technology
• Replaceable fans
• Safe Torque off : SIL2, PLd
• SD card slot for application backup

When starting a VSD motor project, In-Position Technologies engineers first review the key requirements to determine the optimum VSD for the job. Next, they perform all necessary engineering calculations to ensure the VSD performs as required, within customer specifications, and without unnecessary cost. Additionally, they recommend the appropriate cables, fixturing, and add-on accessories to make system installation as smooth as possible.

This includes:

• Motor torque, speed, and inertia matching
• Ensuring compatibility with the motor drive and available power
• Specifying the appropriate feedback device, encoder (incremental vs. absolute), resolver, etc…
• Verifying mounting compatibility, form factor checks, etc…
• Ensuring all necessary accessories are also specified

When ordering Parker AC20 Variable Speed Drives as a part of a full system, IP Tech engineers review the solution to ensure:

• All parts and accessories necessary for a complete working solution are included
• All components have been checked and verified to work together as a system
• The selected components will perform as required by the project specifications
