HPG-U1
The HPG Harmonic Planetary® gearhead has the same high performance specifications as our standard HPG series but with an input shaft for shaft couplings or for use with motor offset with a belt drive. Same as the HPG, the HPG-U1 gearhead incorporates continuous backlash compensation that ensures low backlash throughout the life of the gear. The large Cross Roller bearing serves as the output flange and can support large loads with high moment stiffness. HPG planetary gears are available with a flange output, smooth output shaft or a shaft with a key and tapped center hole.
Key Features:
• Shaft Input
• Available in 6 Frame Sizes
• Peak Torque: 5Nm to 3,200Nm
• Ratios: 3:1 to 50:1
• High Efficiency
• Backlash <3 arc-min (<1arc-min available as an option)
• High load capacity Cross Roller output bearing
When starting a new motion control project involving a gearhead, In-Position Technologies engineers start by reviewing the key requirements to determine the optimum gearhead type, gear ratio, and form factor for the job. They perform all necessary engineering calculations to make sure the system performs as required, within customer specification, and without unnecessary cost. They will also recommend the appropriate accessories that will best fit the application.
To ensure a gearhead fits the customer’s requirements, In-Position Technologies engineers review:
• Gear Ratio
• Gear Geometry
• Backlash
• Efficiency
• Weight
• Maximum Input RPM
• Nominal Output Torque
• Maximum Acceleration Output Torque
• Emergency Stop Torque
• Axial Load
• Radial Load
• Gearhead inertia at input
• IP Rating
When ordering the HPG-U1 gear head as a part of a full system, IP Tech engineers review the solution to ensure:
• All parts and accessories necessary for a complete working solution are included
• All components have been checked and verified to work together as a system
• The selected components will perform as required by the project specifications
